Your city. Your stories.
Want to become a storytelling community, but need some help? Story Sprints are a way for a community to start publishing their own stories in a way that won’t burden staff with their creation.
You’ll decide how many stories you’d like (10 or more), select the stories (I can help, if you’d like!) and then confirmation their participation. I’ll interview citizens, take their portraits, and then transcribe and edit their interviews for clarity and effect. It’s a way to create a one-to-one storytelling interaction: your citizens get to tell their own stories in their own words.
Every Storyville story is written in the first-person point of view: citizens get to tell their own stories in their own words. Head to the featured stories page for some examples.
The timeline for completion depends on the quantity of stories, but a few weeks after the final portrait is taken, you’ll receive a folder with all of the stories and photos. The stories will be copy/paste ready and formatted for posting to social media. Photos will be high enough resolution for large format printing, and both the community and the featured individuals receive full rights to the content—no licensing fees for various uses.
