If you’re looking to become a city centered on the power of community storytelling, this service package is for you. Combining a keynote and two days of story sprints, this three-day immersion will kick-start your community’s understanding and willingness to embrace what storytelling can do through both education and experience.
Day One: The Two Part Keynote
The keynote address comes in two parts: the first will use stories from your community to allow participants to experience storytelling for themselves while explainging why it is foundational to creating a stronger, more functional, and more loving city. After a quick break for lunch, there will be a 30-minute explanation of the stories that will be created during the two-day Story Sprint, as well as how citizens, small businesses, organizations, ad the local government can leverage and support the stories.
Day Two: Two Day Story Sprint
Before arriving at your community, we’ll help establish 20 to 25 different interviewees in your city with stories that are compelling and representative of your community. During this two day Story Sprint, we’ll conduct the interviews and take the portraits. Product shots will also be included if stories feature a business.
Four weeks after the sprint, the publishing community partner will receive all 20 to 25 stories transcribed, edited, and ready for posting to a website, social media, and/or print publication, as well as all the related photos. The included photos will be delivered at a large resolution for printing, free to use by all the featured interviewees, and without any additional licensing fees.
At an average of two posts a week, this amount of content will provide approximately six months worth of story-based content. Head here for a photo gallery, and here for some past featured stories.
